Speaker: Dr. James H. Newman

Subject: Thoughts of an Astronaut

Background: A veteran of four space flights, Dr. Newman has logged over 43 days in space, including six spacewalks totaling 43 hours and 13 minutes. He attended high school in San Diego, California. Then he went on to Dartmouth College where he received a BA in physics in 1978, In 1982 he earned an MA from Rice University. His doctorate in physics was received from Rice University in 1984.
